Suzanne Rheinstein

Suzanne Rheinstein is a design force to be reckoned with. Her luxurious and elegant interiors are breathtaking and immaculate. Her rooms are well edited, but they never look sparse. We thought we would share with you some of our favorite images from her new book, At Home, which is filled with page after page of stunning interiors.  We can all learn something from this amazingly talented designer! Hope you enjoy!

Recognize this photo from our very first post? This is Suzanne's very chic New York Pied-a-terre.

Look at these floors! You can't tell from this image, but there is actually a PAIR of these over sized Sicilian Cameos in this bedroom (you have to see the book to view the entire room!) STUNNING.

The angled ceiling is so interesting here, and it appears that this space is fabricated along with tape trim bordering the walls and ceiling angles.
The French bed, the luxurious throw, the crystal chandelier, and the playful placement of prints work together to make this bedroom so glamorous and romantic!

WOW!
This is one of the most beautiful bathrooms we have ever seen. Can you imagine soaking here???

Love the French bistro table in this kitchen instead of an island. Kitchens
with non-kitchen elements, that is a blog topic we plan discuss with you soon.

This bedroom features one of our favorite Raoul prints. It's hard to see (because the scanner cut off the left hand part of this image!) but there is a wonderful acrylic table next to this boudoir chair that adds to the playfulness and whimsy of this room.

These floors are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
Enough said.

For those of you living in the Houston area, stop by Heather Bowen's Shop
this Friday April 29th from 10:30-12 noon to meet Suzanne in person! Her book, At Home,
will be available and Suzanne will be ready to sign!

Hydrangeas

We believe that flowers can add life to any interior space.  And in almost all cases we prefer fresh flowers to silk or dried ones.  But we know having fresh flowers in one's home all the time can be pricey.

That's why hydrangeas are one of our favorite flowers to work with. Fresh or dried, hydrangeas come in an array of colors and work well with any color palette.  If you have been redecorating a room and you just can't figure out why it's not coming together, try introducing this flower in your space. We promise, you'll be amazed at the difference it makes!
