My Nursery in progress!

Well, I (Meg) have begun my quest for the perfect nursery!  Wow, there are so many good choices!!  Being a designer  I have so many different ideas in my head.

My husband and I have decided to keep it fairly light and airy by using shades of ice blue, white, and oyster.

Hmmm... choices....

Blue walls with cream draperies, Cream walls with blue draperies, all tone on tone with pops of blue  hmmm.... Romans Shades or Not? Goblet pleat or French pleat....hmmm...

I think I am going to go with Ballet White (Benjamin Moore) for the walls and Ice blue draperies with a light sand colored box pleat trim .. DONE!  Now on to the rest...

Crib!

I think I am going to stick with the traditional Jenny Lind crib in white and and add a gathered linen dust skirt and a sweet bumper with blue ties! (no monkeys or wheels for me)

Changing Table!

I have decided not to go with a traditional "changing table" for a few reasons. One, being that once the baby is older- there is no need for a changing table and then he will have a great chest for his clothes or as a night stand! Two, I do not want to be able to see messy baskets filled with products and diapers - out of sight! Three, I think it adds texture and style to a room that could end up looking like I bought everything from the same place if I am not careful!

Art!

Instead of wallpapering the entire room (I may get tired of that anyway) I think I am going to order 10' of this wallpaper and cut it in half and frame it like art!

Table next to Glider!

I think a table is a must for a nursery, whether to place a bottle down or your own drink!  I love the organic lines in this sweet table, and again I will be able to use this after the nursery days are long gone!

Well I think I have my glider, and rug, and armoire left to select.....more ideas and updates later!

Cute ideas. That table is a toddler hazard though. You will need to move it out by 9 months when he starts pulling up.
